Connor Ryan resides where the snow has freshly fallen falling or the sun is shining, and oftentimes both. He is a nomad by nature and a skier by choice. More at home on a chairlift than a couch and as likely to be found atop a distant peak in winter as in summer. He was born and raised in Colorado amongst the mountains who have always been his biggest inspirations and closest relatives, perhaps an unlikely fit for his Hunkpapa Lakota and Irish immigrant heritage.
Although you’ll find him skiing whenever possible, he also has a passion for trail running, poetry, photography, and filmmaking. As an activist, his passions are a tool for environmental stewardship and conservation as well as preserving Lakota language, ceremonies, and culture.
